Start with the routine
Daily driving needs and the time a car stays parked help define a charging requirement. Check the vehicle’s AC charging capability and the available electrical supply before choosing charger power.
Consider the whole building
Heating, cooling, cooking and other loads share site capacity. Compatible metering and load management may help coordinate charging, subject to the system design. They do not create additional grid capacity.
Bring solar and storage into the plan
Review when solar is generated, when the car is parked and when the home uses power. Confirm inverter, battery, charger and control interfaces before ordering. Final protection, permitting and installation must be addressed by qualified local professionals.
